Arts Council of England
There are 15 awards of £7,000 each to be given to writers engaged on works-in progress. There are a variety of categories and the writers must have been
previously published in book form.

British Academy
A number of awards and grants exist in different departments of the British Academy. However, these are only for scholars who wish to undertake advanced

David T Wong Fellowship in Creative Writing
An annual award of £25,000 for a work of fiction in English which deals seriously with some aspect of life in the Far East (Brunei, Burma, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Mongolia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam). The Fellow is expected to reside on campus at the University of East Anglia for one year, where he/she is expected only to write. There are no teaching commitments.

University of East Anglia
UEA Writing Fellowship is offered to a practising writer during the Spring semester. The writer is offered the opportunity to pursue his/her own work. This involves teaching an undergraduate course in creative writing and organizing activities in the region. The salary is £5000 plus flat fee and office.
