'Shielding Her Modesty' written by Sita Bhaskar is her first book of short stories, and I hope not her last. The book contains a collection of short stories, including the titled one. It is a collection expertly put together to create interest, humour and above all believable characters. Several of her stories address issues within the Asian diaspora in a sensitive and touching way. The stories are original and heart warming with a well developed sense of the human touch.
